TRANSFORMING PEOPLE AND PLACES WITH MOVEMENT, MUSIC, AND IMAGERY

I make work to transform the moment, be it through story, imagery, or sound. I start with something that captures me, maybe an idea, a tale, a song, and embark on journey of creation. When the time comes, you are invited to join me.

My work has taken me from Canada to India to the U.K., where I currently make my home. I’ve performed in theatres, schools, street corners and under bridges. Although I often draw on traditional tales or history, the work takes on a life of its own during the creative process. Layers of sound, movement and objects come together in a particular place to make something new. For a long time my creative focus was on the nature of home, but now is turning to women and our experience in the world. This is coupled with a strong sense of ritual and a penchant for the fantastic.
